Our Littles ministry creates a safe, joy-filled space where children can play, learn, and discover God’s love through stories, songs, and hands-on fun. Because worship isn’t just for the grown-ups — it’s for the whole family. When kids are loved and parents are spiritually fed, everyone grows stronger. 


SAFETY FIRST

The safety of every child is our utmost concern. To ensure this, parents or guardians must personally "check in" each child.  During pickup, children will only be released to adults who have checked in the child or who have been authorized.

FUN SPACE

We put in dedicated efforts to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed, channeling our energy towards ensuring that learning and engagement become enjoyable experiences. Through our engaging songs, and crafts, your child will leave Sunday mornings brimming with excitement!

At EMC Youth, teens come together to connect, share life, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in the real world.
We meet every Sunday at 10AM for Sunday class and then every first Sunday after lunch, and there’s always good food, great conversations, and a space where you’re seen, known, and valued.

MINISTRY SAFE

Child and Youth Policy

Elgin Methodist Church is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all children and youth who participate in our ministries. To ensure the highest standards of safety and accountability, all staff members and volunteers serving in our Kids and Youth Ministries are required to:


  • Complete a comprehensive background check prior to serving.
     
  • Successfully complete MinistrySafe training, which provides education and awareness in the prevention of abuse and the protection of minors.
     

These measures reflect our dedication to maintaining a trustworthy, responsible, and Christ-centered environment where every child and student can grow in faith with confidence and care.
