WHAT TO EXPECT

Before most services, you’re invited to a continental breakfast from 9AM–10:45 AM—the perfect chance to grab a bite, sip some coffee, and connect with others. At the same time, we also offer

Sunday Small Groups (10AM–10:50 AM) for anyone who wants to dive deeper into God’s Word in a smaller, more personal setting.

At 11AM, our whole church gathers together for a time of worship and word!

*Every First Sunday of the month is extra special: we share in Holy Communion during worship, and then stick around afterward for a Potluck Lunch—a fun, family-style meal where everyone brings something to the table (literally!) and we enjoy life together.

We can’t wait to see you this Sunday—it wouldn’t be the same without you!

WHEN YOU GET HERE

ARRIVAL & PARKING AT DOWN HOME RANCH

When you arrive through the front gates of Down Home Ranch, follow the road straight through the traffic circle.

Continue down the road until you reach a large building on your right called The Pavilion.

You may park in any available parking space. Please leave the spaces closest to The Pavilion available for guests with disabilities.

After you pass The Pavilion, you may also park on the grass if needed. Please do not park on the grass before The Pavilion, and please do not park in the street.

PLEASE HELP US RESPECT OUR HOSTS

Down Home Ranch is also home to residents who live on the property. We ask that you please remain within the area designated for our worship gathering and avoid exploring other areas of the ranch.

We want to be good guests and honor the privacy and space of those who call Down Home Ranch home.

Thank you for helping us make this partnership a great experience for everyone!

*Photography and videography may occur during our services and events and may be used for church communication and promotion.  Please let a staff member or volunteer know if you prefer not to be included.

  • Do you offer any counseling services at EMC?

Our Pastors offer spiritual guidance and support through pastoral counseling. The goal is to listen, pray with you, and help you apply biblical principles to life’s challenges. While they are not licensed professional counselors, they do provide up to three sessions of pastoral counseling for individuals or couples.

If further support is needed beyond that, we will gladly help connect you with trusted professional counselors or other appropriate resources.

  • What kind of music is played during services at EMC?

At Elgin Methodist Church, our worship reflects the beauty of God's Church—blending timeless hymns with modern worship songs that help people encounter Jesus.

Right now, we're a stripped-down acoustic and piano-led team, creating a worship environment that's authentic, heartfelt, and focused on Christ.

If you're a follower of Jesus, have a heart for worship, and want to use your musical gifts to make Jesus big, we'd love to invite you to audition for the EMC Worship Team.

  • Are children welcome? Do you have a children’s program at Elgin GMC?

We absolutely love welcoming kids at Elgin Methodist Church!

EMC Kids meets every Sunday at 10:00 AM and is designed for children to grow in their faith through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate Bible teaching.

For students, EGMC YTH meets on the first Sunday of each month at 1:00 PM, immediately following our church potluck.

Infants through 5-year-olds are invited to EMC Littles during our worship service, where they'll enjoy a safe, loving environment while learning about Jesus. Of course, little ones are always welcome to stay with their families in worship if that's your preference.

  • What should I expect when I visit EMC for the first time?

We can't wait to meet you!

When you visit Elgin Methodist Church, you'll be greeted with friendly smiles, genuine hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere. Come early at 9:30 AM to enjoy a cup of coffee, connect with others in one of our Sunday Small Groups, and join us for worship at 11:00 AM.

Whether you've been in church your whole life or you're walking through our doors for the very first time, we're glad you're here. Come just as you are—there's no dress code, and there's always a place for you at EMC.

*Photography and videography may take place during our services and events to celebrate and share what God is doing at Elgin Methodist Church.
